The Preference Menu

The Preference Menu is located on the Project pull down menu.
Here you can set some of Amorphium's default operating conditions.

Morph Quality
Sets the quality of shape morphing ( not basic morphing )
The higher the number the closer the shape morph will be to the morph target.
Also the longer it will take Amorphium to build the vertex map. And there will be less interactivity
between the object original shape and the morph target shape. The more basic the object in the work
space and in the target window the closer you will get to a 100 % morph with real high setting.
You can inter a number from 16 to 512.

BioSpheres
Real-time, sets the resolution of the Biospheres in the work space window.
Higher numbers create smoother biosphere balls but slow down the speed of the interface.

Finale, sets the resolution of the Biospheres after they are rendered in Composer.
Higher numbers create better looking renders, but slow down the render time.
You can inter a number from 8 to 128

Snaps, sets the radius around snap point that is used to decide that the snap is active.
The radius is measured in pixels.
You can inter a number from 2.000 to 20.000

Tablet, is used to set up a graphics tablet.
Affect Pressure, activates the pressure sensitivity of your tablet ( in Amorphium )
This will affect the push and pull of the brushes.

Affect Radius, activates the radius sensitivity of your tablet ( in Amorphium )
This will affect the radius of the brushes.

Tilt Enable, activates the tablets pen tilt sensing abilities to automatically change the tilt setting in Amorphium
To enable any of these place a check in their box.

Composer
These effect rendering in composer

Shading Break Angle
This determines when a face normal is used for shading a vertex.

A vertex is a place where 2 or more polygons meet.
A normal is an imaginary line at the center of the polygon.

Shadows
Buffer Size, adjust the amount of memory allocated for shadows. Increase this number for very large resolutions.

Smoothness, larger numbers will smooth out the edges of the shadows during anti aliasing.

Lightness, controls how light or dark the shadows are, higher numbers for lighter, lower numbers for darker.

Quality, sets the quality of the shadow, lower settings render faster but have less shadow quality.

Texture Quality
controls how textures will be anti aliasing when rendered.
Select one by placing a dot in it's circle.
Normal, All pixel in the texture may not anti aliasing, but textures render faster.

Bi-Linear, blends the colors of the two neighboring pixels ( side by side ), during anti aliasing.

Bi cubic, Spline blending ( blends all four neighboring pixels ) during anti aliasing.

Background
Controls how a background picture you loaded, will fill the scene when rendered.

Select one by placing a dot in it's circle.

Fill Background, stretches the background image vertically and horizontally to completely fit the screen size.

1:1- No stretching, Places the background image in the center of the background. If the background image
is larger then the selected screen size the outer edges of the background image won't be visible. If it is smaller
the selected background color will fill around the background image.

Fit- X stretches the background image horizontally to fit the screen size.

Fit- Y stretches the background image vertically to fit the screen size.

These control some of the displays in Amorphium

Wallpaper
Wallpaper is the patterns around all the workspaces in Amorphium. If you click the pull down menu
There is a selection of different wallpapers.

ON Start-Up Do
These give you a list of options Amorphium will do at start-up.
Select one by placing a dot in it's circle.

Nothing, Amorphium opens normally.

Create Sphere, Amorphium opens normally, but with a sphere in the work space window.

Open Object, Amorphium opens with the open object dialog window displayed.

OPen Project, Amorphium opens with the open project dialog window displayed.

Display
Enables a counter in the upper right corner
Select one by placing a dot in it's circle.

Nothing, turns off the counter.

Time, shows the time of day according to you computer.

Frames per Second, Displays the speed of the drawing engine in uses.

Colors
Lets you set the default colors of various things.

When you click on one of the colors the custom color maker swatch appears.

Default Object, Sets the default color o fall objects created, imported and exported.

Modeling Background, Sets the color of the WorkSpaces, except for BioSpheres and Composer.

Composer Wire frame, Sets the color of an unselected wireframe in Composer.

Composer Background, Sets the color of the Work Spaces in Composer.

Composer Selected, Sets the color of a selected wireframe in Composer.

Composer Anim., Sets the color of the wireframe for the animated object or key framed object in Composer.

Selecting Cancel will clear the preference window without applying any changes made.

Selecting Save will clear the preference window and apply any changes made.
