The Project Menu
This tutorial explains the project menu and
most of it's functions.
In the upper left corner the Project pull down menu
is located.
This is were you can do a number of functions like
open & save projects.
Import & Export Objects. Set up Preferences
and more.
There is also a list of key broad short cuts for
each option.
A project consist of all the objects you made
or imported into Amorphium.
In a single session, Either when you launch
Amorphium or click new in the project menu.
You can open and add to or change existing projects.
When you save a project Amorphium saves all
the texture and height maps, paint, optic settings,
and mask for each individual object in
the project. It also saves light setting, the current task files,
the current morph target in the target windows,
the current biospheres in the biosphere work space,
And all the key frames you set in composer.
About shows the Play logo and Amorphium credits.
New will start a new project. If you already
have a project open you will get this Warning
If you click yes you will Get the save dialog
box. If you click no the current project will
be cleared an a new one will take it's place,
if you click cancel you will return to
the current project.
Open will bring up the open dialog box were
you can browse to locate the project you wish to open.
If you already have a project with unsaved changes
open you will get the same warning above.
To open an Amorphium object file, go to open
at the bottom of the 3D work space.
Save will bring up the save dialog box, where
you can save it to your computer.
After you save a project if you don't make any
changes and hit save again
it will save to the location and name you previously
save to. So there is a save as feature
so you can save the same project to a different
name and location.
Again to save an object as an Amorphium file, go
to save at the bottom of the 3D work space.
Import and Export
This is were you can import other 3D object files
and export Amorphium objects in other 3D file
formats.
Import will bring up the open dialog box.
Export will bring up this menu.

Undo will completely undo the last operation.
In any of the work spaces, except Task.
Project Info is were information is displayed
about the current project.
You can also name the project and give a description
of it.
This name does not have to be the same name
you saved the project as.
Preference is were you set up some of Amorphium's
basic default operating conditions.

Display lets you preview a image file in full screen,
you can also preview movie files
like Quicktime. when you use it you will get
an open dialog box to locate the file.
After you open the preview will be in full screen.
To close it click anywhere on the screen.
Quit will close Amorphium if you have any unsaved
changes you will get the warning.
