Paint Workspace



This workspace holds the basic tools for selecting and applying color to the objects as paint. The FX workspace also holds some paint effects tools.
Like mask, paint is applied to the vertices of the triangles ( polygons ), in order for the entire polygon to be painted each vertices needs to be hit by the paint tool.

Paint Brush Paint Brush: a standard brush, which can apply the selected color when in the (in) direction mode. Or remove paint that was applied by the brush or an FX tool when in the (out) direction mode.

Eracer Brush Eraser Brush: a standard brush, which removes paint that was applied by the brush or an FX tool when in the (in) direction mode. Or can apply the selected color when in the (out) direction mode.

Smooth Brush Smooth Brush: smoothes or blends any paint on the object.

Bucket Tool Bucket: completely coves the object ( or unmasked areas ) with the selected color.

Eye Dropper Tool Eye Dropper Tool: selects color off of objects in the modeling window, and makes it the current color on the Paint Palette.

Paint Palette

Paint Palete The paint Palette is used to create, store and select colors.

File Option File Menu File Options: Has option for loading a saved swatch, saving a newly created swatch, or resetting to the default swatch.

Current Color Strip Current Color: is displayed on the color strip.

Color Sliders Color Sliders: custom colors can be create using the color sliders.

Default Color Selector Color Selector: custom colors can also be selected using the default color swatch.

Color Palette Color Palette: is where custom colors can be stores or select from. To select a color from the palette simple click on the color. To store, or make a custom palette load a color to the color strip then hold the Alt key while clicking on a space in the palette. The current color will be stored there.
Grayscale Color Palette This is how custom color palates can be created and then save using the file option.

OS picker Button The Operating System color selector can be opened using the system picker button.
