Biospheres are used for creating custom shapes for modeling.
Although you can't make highly detailed objects with
them. You can create custom basic shapes, which would other wise be
impossible to make using FX or sculpting tools. But they can be turned
to mesh to put in detail and finishing touches in other workspaces.
Biospheres are polygon spheroids which will interact with each other in
some very unique ways. They have an energy setting that will make them attract
to each other, or repel from each other depending weather their energy is
positive or negative, also known as energy and inverse matter.
With Amorphium Pro ability to apply materials and animate biospheres they can
do some very versatile things you might find impossible to do in other programs.
Biospheres are created in Composer by selecting the Biosphere tool
![]()
Then click, hold and drag to the desired size, then release.
The center of the Biosphere is created at the coordinates where the
cursor was clicked.

The biosphere created in Composer are known as The Initial Biosphere. That
means, if two or more Biospheres are created in Composer they will not interact
with one another in there unique way. They only interact as normal mesh does.
But more Biospheres can be added and manipulated with the Initial one, in the
Biosphere Workspace and this is where their unique properties come into play.
The Biosphere Tool in Composer also has further properties which can
be accessed by right clicking on the tool.

The Biosphere Resolution option will determine how many vertices and triangles ( polygons )are used to create the Initial Biosphere. The X column determines how many along the X axes, Y column along the Y axes and Z column along the Z axes. The default setting of 32 creates a Biosphere with a little more that one fourth of what the organic mesh primitives have. The size of the Initial Biosphere will not effect how many vertices and triangle are used to create it, only the values set in the resolution option will. But with every Biosphere added to the initial one in the Biosphere Workspace the amount of vertices and triangles will increase slightly. The Fix Size option will create the Initial Biosphere to a predetermine size with one click of the mouse. Since the Biosphere is spherical the size value determines the radius.
Once the initial biosphere is created, it can be manipulated and added
to in the Biosphere workspace.
The Biosphere Workspace tools include :
Select Tool
Used too select or unselect individual biospheres.
Add Tool
Used to add more biospheres to the initial biosphere.
Move Tool
Used to move the selected biospheres or one can be clicked on and dragged
with the tool.
Radius Tool
Used to set the radius size of a biosphere, to use click the handle extending
from the center of the biosphere and drag right for larger, left for smaller.
Energy Tool
Biospheres can be positive or negative depending on how the energy is set. Positively
charged biosphere will add mass and be attracted to one another when they
come in contact or get close with each other. Negatively charged biospheres
will turn invisible and repel or cut into and away at positively charged
Biospheres. Dragging the handle right will make the biosphere positive, left
passed the center point will make it negative.
Oblateness Tool
Used to set the oblateness, perfectly round is 20. (default). Smaller
numbers will stretch the Y axis shorter. Larger numbers will stretch
the Y axis longer, giving it a flat top and bottom.
Orientation Tool
Used to revolve the biosphere. This tool can be used
in conjunction with the oblateness tool to change the oblateness of all sides
of the biosphere.
Numeric Tool
This tool is used to edit the biosphere properties numerically. All
the tools used to manipulate biospheres are found on the numeric pop up menu.

Move biosphere is shown as Position XYZ. Orientation is shown as Rotation XYZ.
To delete a Biosphere, select it, then hit the back arrow ( on PC ) or the delete key ( on Mac )
The View & Light Tool are common tools found in all Workspaces.

Right clicking anywhere in the biosphere workspace will
bring up the Workspace pop-up menu common in all Workspaces to.

For information on the Workspace Window, refer to Workspace Windows Tutorial
Along with the Biosphere Workspace, biospheres can also be manipulated with
some of the tools in other Workspaces.
They include :
Paint The bucket paint and pick color tool
Mapper The three mapping style tools
Materials All Material Channel can be applied to Biospheres, with imported texture maps
or local shadders.

Biospheres can also be converted to Mesh or Wax to be worked on in Workspaces that support those objects.
